Lancashire Healthy Schools Programme

We have got quality standards in Safety Education, Ethos, Emotional Health and Well-Being, Learning and Teaching, Physical Activity. School Council got a letter saying thank you for our hard work

Sports Relief is on 18th-20th March 2016. We are thinking of ideas with Kate’s Compass Centre group

This was our first School Council of the year and we said thank you to last years members.

We welcomed our new elected members to the council for this year 2015-2016. They will represent the whole school.

What was discussed?

  • Upper School members will be designated Lower School classes and will therefore represent Early Years, Class 1 and Class 2
  • Lesley will be kept informed about everything that was discussed
  • A chairman, minute taker and two photographers were appointed
  • Badges will be sourced for the members to wear all the time

Fund raising

All fund raising will be for the new 6th form, but it was voted that a one off charity fund raiser will be for Children in Need.

Pear Tree School Council Elections 2015

The first School Council meeting of the new academic year is on Tuesday 20th October.

Elections are currently underway in Crossroads, Senior 1, Senior 2, FE and The Compass Centre to vote for two new members from each of these classes to represent the pupils in School Council. Each of these representatives will be assigned a Lower School class to find out their views and wishes for Pear Tree.

All monies raised this year are going towards the new build for Post 16.

New School Year New Council

Classes have been busy voting in their new representatives for the School Council. We had our first meeting to welcome everyone to the council and also to talk about our plans for the upcoming Children in Need day on Friday 14th November. Their theme this year is to dress as your HERO. We are going to ask everyone in school to dress as their hero – not necessarily a super hero just whoever is a hero to you. It could be a sports personality or a member of the armed forces or even your granny. We are asking for a donation of
